Biography

Left-winger Aleksander Słuczanowski was one of the pioneers of ice hockey in Poland. He played for AZS Warszawa, winning three national titles with the team (1927-29), and later had a short spell with Legia Warszawa. He represented Poland in their first ever international match in 1924 against Switzerland, earning one of his only two caps. Słuczanowski was also part of the victorious team at the 1928 World Students’ Championship and a reserve at the 1926 European Championships. He died during World War II under unknown circumstances.
