Biography
East German ski jumper Stefan Stannarius finished an unfortunate fourth on the normal hill at the 1984 Sarajevo Winter Olympics, also placing ninth on the large hill. He retired later that year at only 23-years-old. Stannarius made only one World Cup podium with a third place in 1983 at Engelberg.
