Vilibald Šťovík played for LTC Praha from 1936-48. He played for Czechoslovakia at the 1948 Winter Olympics, winning a silver medal. He also competed at the 1937, 1939, and 1947 World Championships, helping Czechoslovakia win a gold medal in 1947. In November 1948, Šťovík was killed along with six other members of the Czechoslovak national team when their flight from Paris to London crashed into the English Channel.
