Uwe Streb competed at the 1984 Sarajevo and the 1988 Calgary Winter Olympics as a speed skater in the sprint distances, representing West Germany. His best result was a 15th place in 1984 in the 1,000 metres. From 1985-87 and 1989-90, he won the West German sprint all-around national titles. His nephew Moritz Geisreiter also became an Olympic speed skater.
Personal Bests: 500 – 37.58 (1991); 1000 – 1:14.94 (1991); 1500 – 1:58.31 (1984); 5000 – 7:47.64 (1981).
