Biography

Ice hockey goalie Sigmund Suttner was a member of the West German squad at the 1980 Lake Placid Olympics. In 1977 and 1979 he also competed at the World Championships, earning 21 international caps in all. Domestically, Suttner played with EC Bad Tölz, EV Landshut, ECD Iserlohn, Kölner EC, ERC Freiburg, EHC Arosa in Switzerland, BSC Preussen Berlin, and SC Riessersee, always for brief stints. After his active career he became manager of a sporting goods company and later managed an insurance agency.
