Biography
Jan Szpunar competed in biathlon at the 1976 Innsbruck Winter Olympics. He was a three-time World Junior champion in biathlon, winning a relay gold in 1972, repeating in that event in 1973, while also winning the individual 15 km that year. He later competed at the 1975 World Championships. Szpunar competed for WKS Legia Zakopane during his career.
