Biography

Alpine skier Ian Todd was third in the 1965 British Junior Ski Championships and third again behind David Borradaile and Jeremy Palmer-Tomkinson in the slalom at the senior British championships the following year. After competing at the 1968 Grenoble Winter Olympics, Todd was crowned the overall British champion in 1970.

Todd qualified as a solicitor in 1971 and that year joined Mark McCormack´s International Management Group (IMG) and went on to become director of the European, African, and Middle East operations. He led the IMG team responsible for marketing the 1992 Albertville Winter Olympics. Todd left in 1998 to head Nike´s worldwide marketing programme before returning to IMG as president of IMG International in 2007. During his time at IMG, Todd represented several high-profile clients including Olympic skier Jean-Claude Killy, tennis players Bjorn Borg, Ilie Nastase, and Mats Wilander, Formula One driver Jackie Stewart, and golfers Tony Jacklin, Nick Faldo, and Ian Woosnam.
