During the 1930s Fedor Weinschenk was one of the best Alpine skiers in Poland, winning two national titles in the downhill (1934, 1935) and one in the combined (1935). The performances earned Weinschenk a place on the Olympic team for the 1936 Garmisch-Partenkirchen Games where he came 32nd in the combined event. Due to his German heritage he was conscripted into the Wehrmacht during World War II where he was originally declared as missing on the Eastern Front in June 1942. Weinschenk survived the war and moved to Brazil with his family where he worked as an economic adviser in São Paulo.
