Biography

Austrian alpine skier Harti Weirather finished ninth in the downhill at the 1980 Lake Placid Winter Olympics. He became the 1982 world champion in this event. The previous year he won the overall downhill World Cup, and six World Cup downhill races in total.

Weirather married Hanni Wenzel from Liechtenstein in 1986 and became brother-in-law of her siblings Petra and Andi. Their daughter Tina Weirather also skied with Liechtenstein. Hanni Wenzel and Weirather founded the sports agency WWP (Weirather, Wenzel & Partner).
