German whitewater canoeist André Ehrenberg partnered Michael Senft at the 1996 Atlanta and the 2000 Sydney Olympics. The pair won the bronze medal in the Canadian doubles in 1996 and finished eighth in 2000. Ehrenberg won three silver and two bronze medals at World Championships, as well as a gold medal at the Europeans in 1996, plus another bronze.
Ehrenberg won three national titles and was awarded the Silver Bay Leaf, Germany’s highest sports award. After his active career he became Chief National Coach of the German women’s kayak team.
