Biography
German snowboarder Burgel Heckmair did not finish the giant slalom at the 1998 Nagano Winter Olympics. At the World Championships one year earlier, she placed 15th. Her best result in World Cup races was a second place in 1998. Her brother Hansi became a well-known photographer.
