Biography

Austrian Nordic combined Christoph Bieler won one team gold (2006) and two team bronze medals (2002 and 2014) at his five Olympic Games (from Nagano 1998 to Sochi 2014). Individually, Bieler also won one team gold (2003) and one team bronze (2005) medal at the World Championships. He attained normal hill rankings of between 11 (2014) and 25 (2010).

Bieler won six World Cup races in total. He also won five national titles (1998, 2004, 2007, 2009, 2014) and then shortly after his retirement in 2015 turned to coaching. Bieler studied sports management alongside his coaching. In 2024, he was named head coach of the Austrian national team.
