The Count Alberto Bonacossa Trophy was presented in 1954 by the Comitato Olimpico Nazionale Italiano (CONI) in honor of Count Alberto Bonacossa, an Italian member of the International Olympic Committee. It was awarded to the National Olympic Committee which had distinguished itself during the preceding year by its work in furthering the Olympic Movement. The Trophy was discontinued after a decision of the 75th IOC Session in Vienna in 1974.
