Established in 2026, the Olympic Games Delivery Working Group’s mandate was to maximize the overall value proposition of the Olympic Games for athletes, stakeholders, hosts, and the IOC. The IOC announcement of the working group noted its goal was to identify and advance opportunities to reinforce experience, strengthen the Games delivery model, and improve sustainability, impact and legacy outcomes, while reducing cost and complexity. The initial chair of the working group was Tony Estanguet with nine other members.
