Established in 2026, the Autonomy, Ethics, and Good Governance Working Group was asked to look at ways to strengthen the integrity, autonomy, and credibility of the Olympic Movement by developing approaches consistent with the Basic Universal Principles of Good Governance (BUPGG) across NOCs, IFs, and OCOGs. The goal of the working group was to ensure that all constituents shared a common governance culture founded on ethics, transparency, and accountability while respecting autonomy. The initial chair of the working group was Nicole Hoevertsz with four other members.
