For one of the few times in Olympic history, the 2006 Nordic combined sections were held at one basic venue, which was in Pragelato a small commune in Torino Province, and Piemonte Region. The events were conducted at a Nordic cross-country center with ski jumping hills specifically built for the Torino Olympics. There was no change to the Olympic Program which again consisted of an individual, sprint, and team event. The formats of all the events were also the same as in 2002. Three skiers won the individual medals – Felix Gottwald, Magnus Moan, and Georg Hettich, with Gottwald and Hettich adding team medals. Gottwald won two golds and one silver, and Hettich a full set of medals, while Moan won a silver and bronze.
