Eventing at the 1928 Amsterdam Olympics was held over two days in Hilversum, 30 km southeast of Amsterdam, both in the Sportpark there and in the fields surrounding it. A team and individual event were held concurrently. Charles Pahud de Mortanges won the individual title and led the Netherlands to the team gold medal. Pahud de Mortanges would return in 1932 to defend his gold medal. The competitions were restricted to men and military officers, as they would be through 1960 for eventing.
