The National Olympic Committees (NOCs) from Europe have formed this group in 1968 to further their interests with the International Olympic Committee (IOC). As of January 2026, the organization is headquartered in Rome, Italy, its current president is Spyros Kapralos of Greece, and has 50 current member federations. The group’s name was changed to The European Olympic Committees (EOC) in November 1994 at its meeting in Atlanta. Prior to that time, it was known as the Association des Comités Nationaux Olympiques d’Europe (ACNOE) (1975-1994).
