Tagla, Al-Jaza'ir (ALG) | Al-Jaza'ir | From Patrick Secchi: About POB : Tagla ??? Unknown commune in Algeria, even in old french communes names! Most probably a variant of an existing place. The most close place I can find is Djel Taghla on the Marocco-Algeria boundary near Figuig commune. See : https://www.zousfana.com/Photos_satellites_figuig.aspx?Id=1 https://www.google.com/maps/place/Jbal+Taghla+%D8%AC%D8%A8%D9%84+%D8%AA%D8%A7%D8%BA%D9%84%D8%A9+Adrar+n+Taghla%E2%80%AD/@32.088489,-1.2195964,5646m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m5!3m4!1s0xd85d9c82f2ba7b3:0xbd6fca4326aa398f!8m2!3d32.0839091!4d-1.2157847 There is a commune name Tagla (or Ait Tagla or Ait Teguella, province of Azilal) in Morocco listed in military people that served in the "5e régiment de tirailleurs algériens" https://geneafrance.com/france/mplf/?reg=5e%20r%C3%A9giment%20de%20tirailleurs%20alg%C3%A9riens%20(5e%20RTA) Gallica also gives an occurrence of Tagla as a moroccan commune in an article Le Petit Oranais 7 août 1929 : https://gallica.bnf.fr/ark:/12148/bpt6k5015440q/f2.item.r=tagla.zoom Last possibility I've found : Ksar de Tagda, commune of Béchar (musulman population was living in this old fortress in XIX-XXe) and Tagla could be as mispelling of Tagda... Whatever there is a little mystery on this POB for El Mabrouk |
