The world championship was contested among the top two au berceau archers in the other individual events. Frenchman Henri Hérouin defeated Belgium’s [Hubert Van Innis], 21-16. Hérouin had also won the title in au cordon doré at 50 metres. Van Innis actually won 10 Olympic medals, four in 1900 and another six in 1920. This is the most total medals won by an Olympic archer.
