This event attracted just five entries. The jury did not consider any of them to be worthy of a prize, so like this event’s first appearance in 1928, it remained medal-less. The Italian entry by Gabriele Bianchi, Due Improvvisi, did receive an honorable mention. In 1948, Bianchi would win a bronze medal in the vocal competition.
