There were 29 separate events in the 26th Fête Fédérale de l’Union des Sociétés de Gymnastique de France competitions, which were held during the 1900 Paris International Exposition in the gymnastics category, although not all were gymnastics events, as fencing, boxing, and shooting were all contested. There were 8,050 competitors overall in the 29 different events. The alternative, or non-simultaneous, events consisted of five main society events, followed by numerous lesser events. The five alternative society divisions were as follows: Excellence, Superior, 1st Division, 2nd Division, and 3rd Division. There were 17 societies classified in the Excellence Division with the event won by La Jeunesse du Blanc-Seau de Tourcoing.
