German short tracker Katrin Weber won a bronze medal with the relay at the 1998 European Championships, which was the first ever German short track medal at the Europeans. At the Nagano Winter Olympics the same year, she placed eighth and last with the relay. She was not nominated for an individual race. At the German nationals she won two silver and two bronze medals.
