German curler Uli Kapp, brother of Andy Kapp and uncle of Benjamin Kapp, participated in the 1998 Nagano and the 2006 Torino Olympics, together with his brother. The team came eighth on both occasions. Uli won the European Championship in 1991, 1992, and 1997, and at the Worlds, won silver in 1997 and 2007, and bronze medals in 1994-95, and 2005.
At national level, Kapp won nine national titles with Curling Club Füssen in 1994-95, 1997, 1999-2001, 2005, 2007-08. By profession he became a lawyer and commented occasionally on curling events for the German TV channels Eurosport and Premiere.
