Sandra Whyte played center for Harvard University while in college, where she schored 85 goals, with 55 assists. She was All-Ivy League first team in 1989, 1991, and 1992, was the MVP of the Beanpot Tournament in 1992, and was Ivy League Player of the Year in 1991 and 1992, as well as ECAC Player of the Year in 1991. Whyte played for the US team in 1997-98, competing at the 1997 World Championships. She later became a hockey coach at Reading High School in Massachusetts.
