Larry Dolan

Larry Dolan was a singles slider in luge at the 1998 Nagano Winter Olympics. He started out as a doubles slider but moved to singles at the end of the 1994 season. Dolan was eighth in singles at the 1995 World Championships. He was 10th in the World Cup in the 1994/95 season, and won two silver medals that year at the 1995 World Junior Championships. Dolan was US Champion in 1998.

Dolan was a teacher who was an adjunct instructor at SUNY Plattsburgh and Clinton Community College in history and anthropology. He also coached luge, being named as head coach of the US Junior C and D teams in 2013. He 2018 he was named the head coach of the USA Junior national team.

Dolan was also a musician, and owned and operated his own recording studio, The Granary, where he wrote music and also produced records for other performers. In addition, he composed music for film.
