Biography

From 1982 to 1994 Anders Bergman played more than 270 matches as a goaltender in the Swedish Hockey League. Bergman represented MoDo until 1988 before playing the rest of his career with Färjestad. He also represented the Sweden national ice hockey team, which saw him win gold at the 1987 World Ice Hockey Championships in Wien, Austria. The following year he was selected as part of the national squad for the 1988 Calgary Olympics. Sweden won the bronze medal but Bergman did not play in any of the matches, with Peter Lindmark and Peter Åslin sharing the goaltending duties.
