Adam Deadmarsh was born in Canada but had dual US-Canadian citizenship, and has always played internationally for the United States. He played Junior hockey with the Portland Winter Hawks of the Western Hockey League. Drafted by the Québec Nordiques, he played with them, the Colorado Avalanche, and the Los Angeles Kings in a nine-year NHL career. A right winger, Deadmarsh played on a Stanley Cup champion with the Avalanche in 1996. Internationally, Deadmarsh played in the Junior World Championships for the USA in 1993, 1994, and 1995, and the 1997 World Cup, in addition to his two Olympic appearances. He retired after the 2003 season and now works as a video and development coach for the Avalanche.
