Biography

Roy Coffin competed in hockey (field) at the 1932 Los Angeles Olympics, winning a bronze medal, although the US team lost both its games. Coffin was a Philadelphia native who represented the Germantown Cricket Club of that city. Coffin served in the US Navy during the final year of World War I.

Coffin was a top tennis player who played in the 1922 US National Championships, losing in the second round. He attended college in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. Coffin was a Philly native who worked in the brokerage industry there.
