Marco Sullivan was an Alpine skier who specialized in the speed events. He raced at the 2002, 2010, and 2014 Olympic Winter Games with a best finish of ninth in the 2002 downhill. Sullivan competed at the World Championships in 2003, 2007, 2009, and 2013.
Sullivan raced on the World Cup circuit from 2002-16, placing fourth in the season standings in downhill in 2008. His only World Cup win came that season in a downhill at Chamonix in January 2008. He had four other podiums on the World Cup, all in downhill. He was a three-time US Champion, winning the downhill in 2007 and 2009, and the Super-G in 2002.
Sullivan and Tyler Akelstad became five-time champions in Arctic Man, an extreme ski / snowmobile race in Alaska. Sullivan also appeared in several ski documentaries, including a few Warren Miller films.
