Matt Dayton was a Nordic combined skier who competed on the World Cup circuit from 1999 to 2002 and participated at the 2002 Salt Lake City Winter Olympics. Dayton also competed at the 2001 World Championships. His only career victory was at a World Cup B sprint event in 2000. After his competitive career ended, Dayton began coaching and training skiers at the Breckenridge Nordic Center and coached skiers at Summit High School in Breckinridge, Colorado.
