Tricia Byrnes was a halfpipe snowboarder who competed for the USA at the 2002 Salt Lake City Winter Olympics, finishing sixth. Byrnes attended St. Michael’s College in Vermont, with a double major in English and psychology. She won 15 World Cup halfpipe titles between 1997 and 2003.
Byrnes led the 1999 FIS World Cup and was ranked #1 by the ISF in 2000. She added a gold medal at the 2000 Goodwill Winter Games and was second that year in the World Cup standings.
