Biography

Aelin Peterson was a cross-country skier who competed at the 2002 Salt Lake City Winter Olympics. She also raced at the 2003 World Championships. Peterson attended school at Northern Michigan University in Marquette, Michigan, in the Upper Peninsula.

An Alaska native Peterson was twice ranked as the top junior skier in the US by the US Ski Association, however, she left the sport to focus on speed skating. After college she worked as an equity trader with Strong Capital Management near Milwaukee, Wisconsin, but then left that job to return to skiing in an attempt to qualify for the Olympics. Peterson was inducted into the Alaska High School Hall of Fame in 2006.
