Thomas Vonn competed in Super G and giant slalom at the 2002 Salt Lake City Winter Olympics. He was on the World Cup team for three years, appearing in 55 events with four top 20 finishes. Vonn was the NorAm Cup season leader in giant slalom in 1998/99 and 1999/2000. At the NorAm Cup he had 17 podiums with 11 victories. Vonn was the 2002 US giant slalom champion.
Vonn was married to Lindsey Vonn from 2007 until they divorced in 2013. He was also her coach at the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics when she won gold in the downhill. He graduated from St. Lawrence University in 2001 and later became a coach, working at West Mountain in Queensbury, New York.
