Biography

Tiziano Annoni was an Italian canoeist who started as a kayaker, but moved to Canadian canoes under coach Adriano Amigoni. Annoni won numerous regional races and was the 1974 Italian champion in C-2 1,000 and 10,000.

In 1976 Annoni competed at the Montréal Games in the C-2 500 and 1,000 alongside Ilario Passerini. In 1977-78 Annoni participated at the World Championships in Sofia and Beograd. In 1979 he was Italian champion in the C-1 500 in Milano and won a bronze medal at the 1979 Mediterranean Games in C-2 1,000.

In 1980 Annoni tried for the Italian Olympic team, still accompanying Passerini, but they did not qualify for the Moskva Games. After retiring from competition in 1983 Annoni began coaching, first at Polisportiva Trezzano, in 1989 at CUS Pavia, and in 1994 at C.K.C. Milano. In 2001 he was coach of the youth sector at the Idroscalo club, and in 2012 he became team manager of the canoe sector of CUS Milano.
