Ilario Passerini was an Italian canoeist who started paddling in 1971 with the Navy team in C-1, then moved to the Centro Sportivo Forestale with coach Costantino Pisanello. Passerini formed a formidable C-2 pair with Tiziano Annoni, winning several national championships.
Alongside Annoni, Passerini participated at the 1976 Montréal Olympics in the C-2 500 and 1,000 metres and in the World Championships in Duisburg, and they collected a bronze medal at the 1979 Mediterranean Games. The pair tried to qualify for the 1980 Olympics but did not make the Italian team for Moskva.
After retiring from active competition, Passerini subsequently became coach of the Bissolati club in 1981-82. In 2000 he became manager of the Canadian and women’s sector of the Oreste Perri club. Later, in the 2010s, he returned to coaching Canottieri Bissolati.
