Brian Currutt was a freestyle skier who competed in aerials at the 2002 Salt Lake City Winter Olympics. He grew up in Ohio and initially attended The Ohio State University but left to move out west to train for skiing. During his career he tore the ACLs in both knees but returned to compete after surgery.
After his competitive days ended, Currutt returned to school and earned his college degree. He coached the 2010 US Olympic team, but then settled in Tacoma, Washington where he became an orthopaedic sales representative.
