Naomi Lang was an ice dancer who partnered throughout her senior career with Peter Tchernyshev, competing with him at the 2002 Salt Lake City Winter Olympics. Lang and Tchernyshev were five-time USA Champions (1999-2003) and won the Four Continents Championship in 2000 and 2002. They also competed at five World Championships with best finishes of eighth in 2000 and 2003.
Lang started ballet dancing at age three and later studied ballet at the Interlochen Arts Academy. She was one of the first Native Americans to compete for the United States at the Winter Olympics, as an enrolled member of the Karuk Tribe. After marriage Lang settled near Scottsdale, Arizona where she worked as manager of ice dance at the The Ice Den in Chandler / Scottsdale, Arizona.
