Julia Wierscher was a German ice hockey forward who finished sixth in 2002 at the Salt Lake City Winter Olympics. She took part in four World Championships and won 140 international caps, scoring nine goals and 12 assists.
At club level, Wierscher played with EC Hannover (until 1998), KEV Hannover (1998-99), TuS Wiehl (1999-2000), EC Bergkamen (2000-06), Ratinger Ice Aliens (2007-13), DEC Düsseldorfer Devils (2013-15), EC Bergisch Land (2016-17), and Bergisch Raptors Solingen (since 2017). She helped Bergkamen win the German national title in 2005.
Wierscher studied pedagogics and sports science, and turned to coaching. From 2006-09 she was assistant coach with the German national team before working with several clubs, and was also a schoolteacher.
