Kent Salfi

Kent Salfi was an US-American born ice hockey centre playing in the US before moving to Austria. He represented Austria at the 2002 Salt Lake City Winter Olympics. The team lost to Germany and Latvia and won against Slovakia but was eliminated in the group stage and finally placed 12th after losing to Switzerland in the final round.

At club level, Salfi played in the US with University of Maine (1989-93) and the moved to Sweden playing with Olofströms IK (1993-94) and Mora IK (1994-95). He then moved to Germany to ETC Timmendorfer Strand (1995-96) and finally played in Austria with EC Villacher SV (1996-2003), helping them win the Austrian Championship in 1999 and 2002. He finished his career with EHC Linz (2003-08) and HC Innsbruck (2008-10).

Salfi moved back to the USA after his active career and worked as a financial advisor.
