German sprinter Sebastian Ernst reached the 200 metres semi-final at the 2004 Athens Olympics. At German national Championships, he won seven gold, six silver and two bronze medals at 200 metres and with 4x100 metres relay squads. At the 2003 Youth Europeans, he won the 200 gold medal and silver with the sprint relay, and at the 2005 U23 Europeans he added two silvers. By profession, Ernst became a senior commissioner with the Federal Police.
