Biography

During the 1960s Swedish canoe sprinter Ove Emanuelsson represented Jönköpings KK and Tibro KK. A three-time Olympian, Emanuelsson had his best finish at the 1960 Roma Games when he just missed out on a medal in the C-1 1000 metres with fourth. He was consistent in the event and reached the final at the Olympics in Tokyo and Mexico City, finishing fifth and sixth, respectively. Outside of the Olympics Emanuelsson won silver at the 1961 Canoe Sprint European Championships in Poznań.
