Biography

Carrie Tollefson ran the 1,500 metres at the 2004 Athina Olympics. She competed internationally at the 2002 and 2006 World Cross-Country Championships and the 2006 World Indoor Championships in the 3,000 metres.

Tollefson grew up in Minnesota, winning 13 state cross-country and track titles. She ran in college at Villanova University, winning five NCAA Championships – 1999 outdoors at 3,000 and 5,000 metres, the 1999 and 2000 3,000 metres indoors, and the 1997 cross-country title. She twice won watches at the Penn Relays, helping win 4x1,500 relay titles in 1997 and 2000.

Tollefson later became a television commentator and host of her own weekly running show and running and fitness podcast, C Tolle Run.

Personal Bests: 1500 – 4:06.13 (2004); 5K – 15:04.07 (2004).
