Jamie Hagerman played hockey in high school at Deerfield Academy in Massachusetts and then at Harvard collegiately. She came from an athletic family, with three sisters who all played sports in college – Casey played hockey at Dartmouth; Kully, who became the field hockey and lacrosse coach at Babson; and Whitaker, who played lacrosse at the University of Virginia. Their father, David Hagerman, also played hockey at the University of New Hampshire before serving in Vietnam. Playing defense, Jamie Hagerman played for the US National team from 2004-06, playing in the 2004 and 2005 Four Nations Cup, and the 2005 World Championship, where the US won the title. She also played for the Brampton Thunder of the National Women’s Hockey League.
