Caitlin Cahow attended the Hotchkiss School in Connecticut, where she played soccer, field hockey, ice hockey, and lacrosse, and then played in college at Harvard, from which she graduated in 2008 with a degree in anthropology. As a senior at Harvard she was a finalist for the Patty Kazmaier Award for the top women’s college hockey player. She played defense and was a member of the US Under-22 Select Team in 2006 after playing with the US Olympic Team. She won two gold medals playing for the US in the 2008 and 2009 World Championships and has also played in four Four Nations’ Cup tournaments. Cahow has also played with the Minnesota Whitecaps leading them to National Women’s Hockey League Championship in 2008-09, when she was named top defenseman in the Canadian Women’s Hockey Championship. Cahow plans to attend law school, but has been named to the US Team for the 2010 Winter Olympics.
