Kim Insalaco played for the Connecticut Polar Bears in girl’s hockey, helping them win several national titles, then played in high school at Choate-Rosemary Hall, being named 1999 New England Prep School Player of the Year. Insalaco then attended Yale from 1999-2003, where she was named ECAC All-Academic in her senior year. At Brown she scored 45 goals and had 127 points. She played for the US National Team at the 2004 and 2005 World Championships, winning gold in 2005, and at the 2005 Four Nations Cup. Her older brother, David, played two seasons of minor league hockey with the Adirondack Ice Hawks, after playing at SUNY Brockport. Kim Insalaco later became an assistant hockey coach at Cornell, after playing two seasons for the Oakville Ice of the National Women’s Hockey League.
