Biography

William Gaehler competed in canoeing at the 1936 Berlin Olympics, in the K-2 10K alongside Bill Lofgren. They represented the Philadelphia Canoe Club. Gaehler worked as a printer at the time of World War I, and by 1940 was working in New York City at the Customs House for the US Government.
