Biography

Carl Auteried, Jr., was an Austrian sailor who participated in the 1976 Montréal Olympics when the sailing events were held in Kingston, Ontario. He partnered Wolfgang Böhm in the two-person keelboat (Tempest), and placed 12th. Domestically, Auteried represented SC Kammersee and later became its president. He won several European and World Championship titles as well as several national titles. His father, also called Carl, competed in the Flying Dutchman Class at the 1960 Rome Olympics.

In 1979 Carl Auteried, Jr., founded the GTB-BAU company in Salzburg and Vöcklabruck. The company was involved in large construction sites such as subways and underground car parks.
