Biography

Alan Morgan was a crew member in 1932 for Owen Churchill aboard his gold-medal winning boat, the Angelita. He was a member of the California Yacht Club. Morgan attended college at the University of Washington, and became an aviation pioneer who began his business career with Douglas Aircraft. He was a test pilot for Loughead Bros. (later Lockheed), and a commercial pilot for Transcontinental Air Transport, the forerunner of TWA. He joined Northrop Corporation in 1940, and eventually became a vice-president there, retiring in 1970.
