Marty McCormick was a slalom paddler who competed in C-2 at the Barcelona Olympics with Elliot Weintrob. It was actually his first season racing C-2 as he had previously been a slalom kayaker. McCormick’s brother, Mike McCormick, was US K-1 Slalom Champion in 1984, but the sport was not then on the Olympic Program. While training for the 1992 Olympics, Marty worked as a customer service representative with First National Bank of Maryland.
